Finished DIYs

STD Cards
The idea was for an old cheesy postcard look. This took me 4 hours, but I like how they turned out! The back just has the info on it, so I didn't post it. First DIY complete! And before target!

Guest Book

My guest book! Using our engagement photos and making a sort of yearbook, I wanted the theme to be 'Love is Timeless' and I tried to find some quotes to go along with that theme. Or at least go along with the pics. Either way!

Below is the basic layout for the book. It's 8x8. Below these is the finished product. It has the same ribbon on it that's on our boutonnieres and luminarias, and I found a cute metal heart charm with a little rhinestone! Yay rhinestones!

Boutonnieres

Yay! Feathers! I figured out how to curl them, so that was fun! I made a few sets--one set of 4 for the groomsmen, one different one for the Best Man, one different for my Fiance, and two different sets of two for the ushers and Dads.

Cardbox

This wasn't too hard to make, though it has it's imperfections! I basically just used satin fabric, cotton batting, a glue gun and ribbon. To make up for the seams in the back, I pushed some floral pins in to sort of do it up or something. Not too shabby considering I had no idea what I was doing! =)

Invitations

Hooray! They're finally done! The base is made with chocolate brown pocketfolds from paper source, laid with a wine colored cardstock from discountcardstock.com. The invites and inserts were printed on natural white paper at alpha graphics. The text and image is a deep purple. I wrapped a ribbon around and inside the pocketfold, and secured it shut with double sided adhesive. I ran out of the wine colored ribbon, so I used some leftover eggplant ribbon. I ran out of that too, but when I went to buy more, Joann fabrics was out of both styles (I'm pretty sure I single-handedly depleted their stock. So I went with a wine-ish (it's more burgundy) satin ribbon as well as a deeper royal (it's darker than the pic indicates) ribbon. I'm not entirely happy with those, but who the hell will know that's not what I intended, right? I'll just send them to family members who won't care one way or the other. =)

The way they SHOULD look (most do)

The motley crue (all the colors are darker than they appear. I suck at photographing these things)

Here it is--pretty simple. I may add more too it, but not sure, and I want to curl the feathers, but I haven't gotten to that yet. I wrapped it the same way I did my card box--ivory satin and cotton batting. I left the plastic on it for now because it sheds.
